Workers Compensation Care
WCB legislation allows injured workers to directly see either a chiropractor or a medical doctor following an injury at work. Both a chiropractor and/or a medical doctor can submit assessment information to the WCB to review and determine the entitlement of your claim.
The overall goal of chiropractic treatment is to assist workers in reaching the functional levels needed for safe, timely and sustainable return to work
Capital Region Chiropractic is an accredited WCB treatment center. Our chiropractor will need the date of injury as well as ensuring you have reported the injury to your employer. All forms are sent to WCB electronically. Upon acceptance of the claim, WCB will approve a six-week period for treatment. Our chiropractor will send update reports to WCB at the three week mark and at the six week mark. If required, treatment is typically started on the first visit. If you have not fully recovered at the end of the six-week period, a request for extension and/or referral to another health care provider is sent to WCB for approval.
Chiropractic is demonstrated to be one of the most clinically and cost-effective methods of treating many work-related injuries. Almost a decade of statistics confirm that satisfaction rates of injured workers are highest for chiropractic treatment.
